I did laundry today, and at around noon, I
started getting ready for my first Bahasa Indonesia class with Miss Dani. (Take
note that this was supposed to be my second, except I missed the first one
because I got lost going to the first one. That was the day I spent exploring
the city with angkots).
I learned a lot from the class! Bahasa Indonesia
really is close to Filipino. I found a lot of familiar words. The thing is,
they don’t usually put the “be” verb (am/is/are/etc), so I feel like the
sentence is always incomplete. =)))
After the lesson, Ryan picked me up from the
school because we were hanging out today. We got pizza from Pizza Hut, then
went to his house for a movie marathon. A little while later, his mom comes
home. She’s super duper nice! :’)
At around 7ish, I tell Ryan to bring me home. On
the way home though, it starts pouring – it was raining cats and dogs, so we
had to wait at the nearest gas station for the rain to stop. It was one of his
friends’ birthdays, so when it stopped raining, Ryan said he wanted to drop by
where his friends were having dinner before bringing me home, but what happened
was we stayed with his friends until about 10ish. =))) His friends were nice
and everything, but I definitely felt like an outsider. After that, Ryan
brought me home.
