Episode 35: Greenagers + Batik Fashion Week Pre-Event + Law Festival 2014

Today was Greenagers’ (another project from LC UNDIP) opening event, a tree-planting activity near Ungaran (okay, I’m not sure about the name of the place). We met one of the EPs, Seif from Egypt. :D

The activity was pretty exhausting, because we were under the sun for about 95% of the time there. =)))) I met a lot of new people (whose names I’ve totally forgotten at this point), and some familiar faces from CJLC. I even saw their LCP again, Anin. At one point, a couple of people asked us foreigners a few questions on camera. It was funny, cause I honestly didn’t know what I was talking about, hahaha! The sun was getting to me. =))))

After being brought back to UNDIP, we were given lunch, and we stayed for a couple more minutes to talk to the others about tonight’s and tomorrow’s events. Later, Andi took me home. :)

After a nap, Andi came to pick me up again to bring me to the Grand Candi Hotel for Zaka’s pre-event for Batik Fashion Week. I was supposed to be there with Iva, Kali, and Seif, but they were running late, so I just hung around to listen (well, I tried) to the person in front talking about batik-making techniques. There was an Indonesian food buffet, too. When the others came, we started eating, but… Indonesian food….. =))) Okay, I’m not such a big fan of it, to be honest. Other than tempe and Nasi Goreng, I’m not exactly lining up to get my fill of it. Seif was worse though, hahaha! While watching the people talk in front, we were interviewed by the hosts. =))) Then before leaving, we were interviewed by some people from this TV station, and it was super funny because Seif and I didn’t know what to do. =)))

After that, we went to Alfamart to get a few drinks before heading to Balai Kota for Law Festival 2014, UNDIP’s Faculty of Law’s annual event. When we got there, I saw a few familiar faces, and Brian joined the group. I also saw Andi, who had my helmet from when he brought me to the hotel. We were there to see Edo dancing with the Pompom Boys, and the DJ group Midnight Quickie. The thing is, the place was suuuuper crowded by the time Edo’s group was supposed to perform. It was suffocating, uncomfortable, and you could feel other people’s sweat on you, so Seif and I decided to just go to the back. I’d rather not see anything but have space to breathe than see the show but have to have my legs amputated after. =)))

I texted Ryan to pick me up, but my phone died, so I couldn’t meet up with him. Turns out he waited for me for about an hour, but decided to go home after cause I didn’t show up. (Damn BB battery keeps dying, ughhh). I was panicking, cause I didn’t know where to go after, cause by that time, I was already locked out of my host fam. What I did was borrow someone’s phone and contact Ryan through Facebook. After that, I just took a taxi to Ryan‘s house cause I was desperate. Thank you for letting me crash. HAHAHA
